Recently, comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco went on the Joe Rogan podcast and gave us a little insight to the latest news from Martin Scorsese’s film, “The Irishman”.
The film unites legendary Italian-American actors such as Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Robert De Niro.
It has been rumored that the release of the movie will be on Netflix, but there has never been an official release date. There still is no official date, however we do have an update. Sebastian Maniscalco, who will be playing the character “Crazy Joe Gallo” in the movie, gave us a better idea of when we can expect see the highly anticipated movie. Sebastian told the host that you can expect to see the movie sometime in October of 2019!
As for what to expect? Film editor Thelma Schoonmaker, a long time collaborator of Martin Scorsese, stated that “The Irishman” will not be comparable to Goodfellas. And will have a completely different twist. She also promises that you can expect to love the film.
However, Netflix tends to leave their movies open-ended. This strategy is done so it leaves an opportunity for sequels. The down side to this it that it leaves films on a weaker note. These actors tend to have dramatic endings to their movies, so it may be very different to see if the film takes this direction. We hope that Martin Scorsese strays away from this approach, as he usually does. It is better to watch a film that goes out with a bang!
