While most of billionaire Belusconi’s amazing properties are on the market after his passing, his most famous party pad, nicknamed “bunga bunga” is too sentimental to part with, according to his daughter Marina Berlusconi. Located in Arcore, near Milan, Villa San Martino, the resort like home, infamous for over the top sex parties and scandal, is estimated to be worth about $57 million. The 70 room property is the residence of Silvio’s partner Marta Fascina and the family plans to use it for future family gatherings, “as their father would have wished.”
Other spectacular properties up for grabs are located in prime spots throughout Italy. Villa Certosa sits on 170 acres on the Emerald coast of Sardinia and is so impressive with 5 swimming pools, a 300 person amphitheather, a lagoon, football field, golf course and helipad, that the late PM often used it to welcome heads of state from other countries. The current value of the property is estimated to be about $275 million. Berlusconi also owns 4 other villas in Sardinia.
Villa Grande was Berlusconi’s main residence in Rome and the venue for his controversial wedding to Fascina. Added to the list is the 30 room Villa Campari, surrounded by parks on Lake Maggiore, a favorite holiday retreat. Not to be forgotten is the Villa of Two Palms on the Island of Lampedusa, Villa Belinzaghi on Lake Como, or Villa Borletti in Milan. There are several more villas and apartments located throughout Italy, but honorable mention must be given to his foreign residences. Berlusconi was neighbors with Michael Bloomberg in Bermuda, while also enjoying a few residences in Antigua, Caribbean and Cannes, France.
All in all, it may take a while for Berlusconi’s heirs to divide his $6.8 billion fortune but selling the real estate portfolio will make it much easier to split equally.
