Tommy DeVito Collaborates with MamaMancini’s in Latest Instagram Post

Tommy DeVito continued to capitalize on his recent popularity this week with another Italian-themed collaboration on Instagram. While the New York Giants QB has already made content for Italian brands like Rao’s, DeVito partnered with MamaMancini’s in his latest post to promote the company’s signature dish: Meatballs

The carousel above was complimented by a video posted to DeVito’s Instagram story, where his mother served him and Daniel Mancini, the founder of MamaMancini’s, the meatballs that put his family’s brand on the map. After the first bite, the quarterback is asked what he thinks by Mancini. He responds by saying “They’re good, but not as good as my…” before Mancini quickly interrupts, yelling “Don’t say it!” over and over. While Tommy didn’t get a chance to say it, we all know he was going to mention his mom’s famous chicken cutlets

Daniel Mancini started his business in honor of his grandmother, Anna Mancini, who journeyed to America through Ellis Island with her husband, Nicola Mancini. Some of his fondest childhood memories were cooking alongside his grandmother, learning the family recipes by heart since they were not written down for reference. At the age of 15, he asked to be taught the process for making her meatballs and Sunday sauce, which set the stage for what would eventually become MamaMancini’s hero product.

“It’s amazing how each time I prepare them the aroma transports me back in time to her dinner table,” said Mancini. “It’s my own “scented memory.”

Today, the brand can be found on supermarket shelves in stores such as Whole Foods, Kings Supermarket, The Fresh Market, Acme, Pathmark, Publix, Giant Eagle, Shaws Supermarkets, Harris Teeter, Stop n Shop, and Shop Rite.

On his own Instagram page, Mancini noted how proud he was to collaborate with the New York Giant, referring to the former NFC offensive player of the week as a “standup class act” as well.

While it is unclear if any future collaborations are planned with MamaMancini’s, we will all be eagerly watching to see what Italian brand Tommy DeVito works with next.
