The final night of Sanremo, is finally here! Last night, each of the artists performed covers songs of their choosing with the option to sing solo or as a duet with another nationally recognized artist. Tonight, after the whirlwind performances 172 overall performances of contestants and guests over the past 4 evenings, the 30 finale performances of tonight will dictate the winner. All 30 songs will be performed one last time, with each artist hoping the audience has fallen in love with their song. Public vote (34%) along with press jury (33%) and radio jury (33%) will determine the final winner.
There has been a large variety of performances and song types on the Sanremo stage this year including everything from classical to current hits. The guest performances for this evening’s show are Roberto Bolle, Luca Argentero, Gigliola Cinquetti, Suzuki Tananai Stage and Costa Cruises Tedua.
The winner of tonight’s competition will have huge shoes to fill. They will represent Italy in the Eurovision Song contest for 2024 which has previously been won by greats such as Toto Cutugno. Italy is considered to be a “Big-5” country in the Eurovision Song Contest, meaning they automatically qualify for the Grand Finale. About 12 million spectators are expected to tune in to watch hosts Amedeus and Fiorello wrap up the 2024 Sanremo.
