Mike Marino, the bad boy from New Jersey, has always been in the public-eye. Starting off his professional career as a child actor, he did TV commercials in New York and was in the show “As the World Turns.” He even made appearances on numerous talk shows like The Tonight Show. But Mike never saw himself doing stand up comedy until he was thirty years old.
People didn’t believe that Marino was Italian, because of his blonde hair and blue eyes. But he quickly used this to his advantage to speak about his family and growing up in an Italian household. His family is from a small town in Campobasso known as Duronia. From here, Marino quickly gained views and people fell in love with his edgy persona, and hilarious jokes, which is how he got the name “New Jersey’s Bad Boy.”
During Bryon Allen’s Comics Unleashed show, Marino joked into what life would be like if America had an Italian President. His viral joke of what would happen if you sent two New Jersey Italians to handle business instead of American troops went viral on social media. “Make America Italian Again,” is Marino’s coined saying. He is currently traveling the world performing on his new world tour “Welcome To The Family,” a continuation of “Make American Italian Again.” You can find more content of him speaking about making American Italian again on his Youtube channel MikeMarinoLive.
The goal behind Marino’s tour is to truly connect all ethnic groups of all different realms. He wants to emphasize the importance of having a good time and laughing through funny jokes. “There’s no reason that we all cannot laugh,” is something that Mike had said to me when asked what his goal through his tour was.
Through shared culture and the love for laughter, Mike Marino and Hardcore Italians was a partnership made in heaven. Marino’s phrase “Make America Italian Again,” is being sold on T-shirts and hats for this year’s presidential election, so get them while you can!
Make sure to keep an eye out for Mike Marino’s tour, and his upcoming movie “Silent Partners.” Coming in the spring, Marino is playing an underboss in Miami during the 80s.
