Today, March 21st, marks a momentous occasion for soccer fans in Florida as Italy and Venezuela clash for a thrilling international friendly game today. What makes this match even more special is that it’s the first time in nearly two decades that Italy has traveled to the United States for a competitive game.
The last time Italy played on American soil was back in 2005, making this encounter a long-awaited treat for fans. The game will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Chase Stadium. Starting at 5:00PM, tickets are still live and selling, so if you’re interested in going you better get your tickets while they’re still live! I saw tickets selling for $60!
Italy will be the NW bench and Venezuela will be the SW bench for today’s game. But it’s not just the Italians who are looking forward to this encounter. The Venezuelans are just as excited and eager to cheer their national teams on!
As the players take to the field, all eyes will be on them, but I want to see Italian Americans cheering on our team today! If you’re going to the game today let me know in the comments, and make sure you tag @hardcoreitalians so we can see!
