This cocktail is perfect for the celebration of Easter as the beginning of Spring implies a bright and sparkly time of year. The flavors of bourbon mix well with the bubbliness of the prosecco, making them a great pairing to any holiday dish you might be serving whether it be sweet or savory. The Prosecco can be substituted by any other sparkling wine of your preference. Key tip: Drink is best served chilled.
Ingredients per serving:
- Approx. 6 mint leaves
- 3/4 oz. simple syrup
- 3 oz. preferred prosecco or sparkling wine
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 oz. bourbon
- crushed ice
Directions:
In a tall glass, muddle mint leaves and simple syrup with the end of a wooden spoon or muddler until mint is bruised and torn apart.
Add bourbon, ice, prosecco and bitters. Stir gently. Garnish with more mint.
