The Street Food in Naples You Have to Try!

If you have the opportunity to be in Naples, Italy, you must of course take advantage of the world famous local cuisine. Aside from the incredible restaurants on every corner, here are some of the street food favorites that the locals rave about and enjoy on a regular basis.

Legend has it that Sofi’ was a commoner that stole the heart of King Ferdinand I of Bourbon, because of her irresistible culinary skills.

Taralleria Leopoldo: In business since 1940, Taralleria Leopoldo is a traditional taralleria that started out as a cart roaming the streets of Naples. Leopoldo is now recognized as a symbol of excellence for this crunchy savory biscuit that comes in numerous flavors in 7 locations throughout the city of Naples.

Rosticceria Imperatore: This locale offers a Napoletano favorite: Fried Pasta. Located in the Fuorigrotta area, near the Maradona stadium, this is a must try when visiting Naples.

Tripperia O’Russ: Although not common here in the United States, tripe is a local Napoletano favorite. If lime alone doesn’t seem like enough flavor there are many other ways to try this delicacy such as with beans, potato or in sauce.
