Want to buy a piece of Chicago history? Now is your chance!
Al Capone was so rich in his time, it is rumored he did have multiple houses. However, this particular building was his first. It is a two-flat that both his mother, wife, and sister lived in. It is located on 7244 S. Prairie Ave. The most recent owner lost the property in a foreclosure.
The current asking price for this two-flat is currently at $110,000. Before that, it listed for $225,000 in 2014 and $180,000 in 2016.
Although Al “Scarface” Capone and his family have not lived in the house since the 1920s, most people believe the property is extremely unique. It is widely known that Al Capone and his crew had built underground tunnels all over the city of Chicago. Although they are now filled in, this is believed to have a tunnel previously in the basement.
