I had a great time with Frank Di Piero from Keepin’ it Real with Frankie D. An Italian-American Podcast on Culture and History.
Frank’s podcast is dedicated to bringing Italians together. We got to talking on social media and realized that our values align! Since we are both Chicago based, Frank was able to come by to the Hardcore Italians warehouse and have me on his podcast’s 40th episode.

Although I am still new to getting in front of microphones, cameras, etc., I am always happy to try and shed some light on what we are all about at Hardcore. I have an extreme passion for making Italians proud and that’s the sole force of action for the company and myself on a daily basis.
As Italian-Americans, our ancestors sacrificed so much to enter a new country and provide us with better opportunities. Although not a perfect story, we have so much to be thankful for.
I truly believe that if you can find an appreciation in your life’s story, you will be so much happier. If you aren’t confident in who you are as a person, it can really do a lot of damage to self-esteem. Not only is this no way to live, but it also doesn’t justify the sacrifices of our ancestors!
In today’s day and age, this is such a tough mission and it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. We get caught up in little problems easily. We constantly see success on social media without any of the struggles. Some of the very same pages/people we follow to feel better about ourselves, bash us. If you are unable to speak the language, pronounce something different, or have never been to Italy… Who cares? Life isn’t about nitpicking or feeling bad about the way things have come into fruition. It’s about playing the cards you are dealt with. That is why I am never ashamed to answer questions on podcasts honestly.
If I can inspire one person to look at things from a new perspective, Italian or not, I feel that what I do is the most rewarding thing I could ever ask for in a job.
