Have you been on a strict diet that does not allow you to eat carbs at all? Sometimes this method can feel entirely impossible. That is why often times diets like these fail. Chris Powell explains that there is generally a psychological need for comfort foods like carbohydrates. He shows us that you can actually lose weight by eating carbs in a method known as carb cycling.
For this method to work, an individual must alternate high and low carb days. On days where they eat carbs, they limit their carbs to one meal. He explains that during a typical week you should begin Monday with a clean diet that contains low carbs. On Tuesday, you should reward yourself by having carbs in the morning such as with a bagel. On Wednesday you should go back to eating a low carb diet, and then reward yourself on Thursday by having carbs again, such as a slice of pizza. On Friday you will go back again to low carbs but on Saturday you are able to reward yourself again and boost your metabolism. Sunday you are allowed to consume more carbs than any of the other days, therefore you are able to have a Sunday meal with your family! Watch the video below to learn more!
