As Barack and Michelle Obama spent some time with George and Amal Clooney in Lake Como, the local government enforced a 300-foot exclusion order to protect the privacy of both the Obamas and the Clooneys.
Anyone passing the 300-foot perimeter within the Clooney villa is said to be fined 500 euros. This was introduced by the mayor Roberto Pozzi.
For even extra security, extra police have been hired to patrol the surrounding areas.
Part of the Obama’s reason for visiting the Clooney’s in Lake Como was to attend a dinner by the Clooney Foundation for Justice to raise money for people in poverty.
