Italian Olympic Swimmer Filippo Magnini Saves Drowning Man

A drowning man by the name of Andrea Benedetto was saved by Olympic Swimmer, Filippo Magnini at a beach in Sardinia. Filippo was relaxing with his girlfriend and suddenly noticed an individual drowning in the Mediterranian Sea. The drowning man's friends signaled to the lifeguards to come to save him, but Andrea was able to get there much faster

Olympic swimmer Filippo Magnini put his talent to use this past Sunday when he saved a man from drowning.

Andrea Benedetto was on top of a float in at Cala Sinzias beach in Italy when he fell off of it into the water. Filippo was relaxing with his girlfriend and suddenly noticed him drowning.

Andrea’s friend signaled to the lifeguards to come to save him, but Filippo was able to get there much faster. Without hesitation, Filippo was at his rescue. He was able to keep Benedetto’s head above water until the lifeguards got there.

Andrea Benedetto was on his honeymoon and got married just two days prior to the incident. Filippo Magnini stated, “I just did what I had to.”
