Homemade Maritozzi – Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 & ½ cups of bread flour
  • 1 & ½ cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 bag of active dry yeast
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 3/4 stick of soft butter
  • 1 pint of heavy cream
  • ½ powder sugar

  2. I am very excited to try your recipe! My daughter and I visited Rome this spring!! We absolutely fell in love with Rome, the people,the food, the wonderful history! As we were leaving, Rome was just shutting down. March 4 to be exact! We made it home and self quarantined for 2 weeks. We did not have covid19. My heart aches for Italia! The morning before we left we had Maritozzi and esspresso! I hope my Maritozzi is even half as good as that I enjoyed in Rome!! I want to be Italian!!
