Italians are known for being warm and passionate people and it definitely shows when they are dating. If you’ve dated both an Italian and an American then you would have noticed some major differences in their behavior and manners. Going Out For Dinner
The Italian:
They will wine and dine you. (We are speaking about the men of course). You can expect a nice antipasto to start and whatever else your heart desires. A bottle of wine is always a must and they will never let you pay!
The American:
They usually prefer something easy and quick like a burger and fries. Don’t expect too much conversation as they will most likely be on their phones majority of the time. Oh and make sure you have some cash on you, they might just ask you to pay for half.
Meeting the Family
The Italian:
They can’t wait to bring you home because they know you will fit right into their family. Plus, they will want their mothers to start teaching you how to cook their favorite food.
The American:
They usually hold off on bringing people home unless the relationship is serious. Don’t expect to go over to their family home until you are almost ready for engagement!
The Mannerisms
The Italian:
An Italian man will treat you like a princess. Get use to the none stop compliments and not having to open the car door.
The American:
Not all, but some will be more concerned with themselves before they are concerned with you.
Intimacy
The Italian:
They will hold your hand and want to kiss you whenever they get the chance. Being affectionate is what they are known for!
The American:
Yes they will kiss you and hold your hand as well, but once their friends are around they may act as if they are embarrassed.
