Italy’s Coronavirus Death Toll Tops 4,000 – 627 Today

Italy reported on March 20th 627 confirmed deaths from the Coronavirus, bringing the overall toll to over 4,000.

The Local IT reported on Friday, March 20, 2020 that the total number of confirmed deaths in Italy has reached 4,037.  This is due to 627 deaths just today.

This tops the most deaths in a single day from the Coronavirus. Wednesday had the second most, totaling 475. 

The Italian government is planning on taking more drastic measures each day. In Milan, soldiers were sent to patrol the city and give citations to anyone leaving the house for reasons other than work or health.
