INGREDIENTS
For Neapolitan Cake:
- 1 cup (240 ml) canola or vegetable oil
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups (300 g) sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/4 cups (410 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp (10 g) baking soda
- 2 tsp (8 g) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp (13 g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1/2 tsp strawberry extract
- 1/3 cup (70 ml) strawberry preserves
- red or pink food coloring
For Strawberry Buttercream:
- 3 cups (680 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 to 4 cups (375 g) confectioner’s sugar
- 1 tsp strawberry extract
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) strawberry preserves
- red or pink food coloring
For Chocolate Ganache:
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate melts or chips
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) strawberry jam, for filling
- fresh strawberries, for garnish
