According to the latest agricultural analysis in Europe, Eurostat reports a 20% decrease in the use of pesticides in Italy. This puts Italy in the lead for eco-friendly agriculture in Europe.
Italy has over 60,000 organic farms and nearly 300 PDO products. PDO products preserve quality and tradition and decrease the use of harmful pesticides.Â
Other European countries like France and Germany have actually shown an increase in pesticide use. According to Eurostat, France’s use of pesticides has increased atleast 39% since 2011.Â
