Tourist Engrave Names at Trevi Fountain – Fined €450

Two tourists, aged 61 and 44, were recently caught attempting to carve their names on the base of the staircase of the Trevi Fountain.

The two were reported for damaging a historical building and fined €450.

The individuals, who were from Germany and Slovakia are also temporarily banned from visiting the monument.
