Gnocchi alla Romana means “Gnocchi in the Roman manner”, and is very common in Italy! It is perfect on its own, but is also amazing with stews! This gnocchi has a crisp outside and a soft interior!

- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil To grease the sheet pan
For the Gnocchi:
- 3 cups (750 ml) milk See Note 1
- 1 1/2 tsp coarse salt See Note 2
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
- 2/3 cup (110 g) semolina flour
- 1 large egg – lightly beaten
- 1 cup (85 g) grated parmesan cheese See Note 3
Topping:
- 1/4 cup (60 g) butter – melted
- 1/2 cup (45 g) grated Parmesan cheese
