Esposito died Tuesday after battling pancreatic cancer for a short period. He is known as one of the greatest goalies to ever live. Esposito joined the Chicago Blackhawks in 1969. He won the Vezina Trophy three times. Tony Esposito was in the hall of fame and starred for the Chicago Blackhawks for 15 seasons. He had eight seasons of 30 or more wins and finished with 423 wins.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman stated, “The hockey world will miss him greatly,” “The NHL family extends its deepest sympathies to his wife, Marilyn, sons Mark [Kim] and Jason, and grandchildren Lauren and Kamryn.”
