29.2 inches of Rain Fell in Italy in Half a Day – NEVER seen Before in Europe

Northwest Italy was hit with almost 30 inches of rain in half a day, creating a new record for rain fall in a short period.

The amount of rain that Italy has received in 12 hours is over half of what they see in an entire year! In a short 12 hour period on Monday, 29.2 inches of rain fell in Rossiglione, located in Genoa, Italy.

Rossiglione, Italy, got hit horribly by the storm and received 34.8 inches in 24 hours!

Maximiliano Herrera, a climatologist, indicated that this is the most rainfall ever seen in 12 hours in Europe.
