All Italians love tomatoes! I’m sure many of us (myself included) had parents or grandparents who would even grow their own tomatoes in their garden in the yard.
If you love tomatoes and are looking for a new Italian dish to make, try Pomodori Fritti! Just grab your tomatoes, breadcrumbs, and a bowl to get started. Very simple and quick recipe to make!
Ingredients:
- 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 lb. – 500g tomatoes
- Salt
- Bread crumbs
- Parsley
- Black pepper
Directions:
- Cut tomato into slices about 1 cm.
- Then in bowl mix breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt and pepper.
- Pass slices in the mixture and fry in a pan with extra virgin olive oil then place on a sheet of absorbent paper.
- Serve
Why is the photo of batter fried tomatoes while the recipe calls for breadcrumbs only?
