Written by Lem Dobbs and Leo Rossi, ‘The Life and Death of John Gotti’ is an exciting fact-based drama that relates the life of John Gotti and his son, giving viewers a revealing and intimate insight into the secretive world of the Italian-American Mafia.

John Travolta takes on the role of John Gotti playing alongside his real-life wife, Kelly Preston, who plays Victoria Gotti. Spencer Rocco Lofranco takes on the role of John Gotti Jr. Other cast members include Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Lydia Hull, Luis Da Silva Jr., Ella Beau Travolta and William DeMeo.

As the head of the infamous Gambino crime family, John Gotti was one of the best-known mob members of all time. Until his death in 2002, he ruled the underworld. He was well-known for his flamboyant style and this earned him the mob nickname ‘Dapper John’.

In addition to revealing the criminal life of John Gotti, the secondary storyline is the relationship between Gotti and his son. When Gotti’s son was 24, he was inducted into the Mafia and became heir-apparent to the Gambino crime family. Although John Gotti Jr. was brought up to live by the mob rule and to live a life of crime, he made the decision to leave this world behind to redeem the family name.

‘The Life and Death of John Gotti’ is directed by Kevin Connolly and is set for release in the United States in 2017.
