In deep appreciation of this opportunity, Michael Gandolfini states, ” “It’s a profound honor to continue my dad’s legacy while stepping into the shoes of a young Tony Soprano”.

The Many Saints of Newark was co-written by David Chase, the creator of The Sopranos. The cast will consist of some of the old characters from The Sopranos as well as Alessandro Nivola, Cory Stoll, Billy Magnussen, Jon Bernthal, and Vera Farmiga. The movie is set during the 1967 Newark riots between African-Americans and Italians. The entire premise of the movie is currently unknown but it is said to contain themes similar to those in The Sopranos.
