Skip the store-bought Colomba and treat your guests to a yummy homemade one instead!

Similar to the popular panettone, this sweet cake is a staple in every Italian household around Easter time.

Check out this delicious and easy-to-follow recipe by Simona of Walks of Italy!

You will need:

• 3 Cups of Flour
• 2/3 Cup of Sugar
• 1 1/2 Tbsp of Yeast
• A Pinch or 2 of Salt
• 2 Eggs & 1 Egg Yolk
• 2/3 Cup of Butter (Room Temperature)
• 3 Tbsp of Whole Milk
• 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

For the top of the Colomba, you will need:

• 1 Egg White
• 1 Tbsp of Sugar
• Almonds (Roasted are preferred)
