A 41-year-old Belarus tourist was recently caught bathing in Piazza del Popolo fountain.
The Fontana Della Dea was designed by Giuseppe Valadier and sculpted by Giovanni Ceccarini in 1893.

Not only was the woman fined but also issued with an “urban daspo” order. This order banned her from returning to Piazza del Popolo for 48 hours. Rome has a new zero policy rule and anyone caught swimming in the fountains will face fines.
