My daughter has celiac. Would you recommend a different flour to possibly use to try this? Looks amazing!!!
Bobs redmill one to one all purpose baking mix! Works great!
Buy Bob red mill 1 to 1 flour I substitute it in all recipes .I also have 2 grown children with celiac.if you have pinterest follow a girl on there she has great recipes she goes by the gluten free palate.
Almond flour is a good substitute for Celiacs.
This looks delicious. Can a substitute greek yogurt for sour cream?
What can you use in place of butter milk?
You can use any kind of milk along with 2 tsp lemon juice. I use almond milk.
you can make your own, just google “buttermilk recipe.” It is just milk mixed with some type of acidy ingredient to curdle the milk a bit to turn it “buttery”
I think buttermilk is easy to make. I think you just add a little vinegar to some regular milk. If you Google it, you could probably get a recipe for it. Hope that helps!
Use milk: stir in 1tbsp of white vinger or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to get full effect
Regular milk with a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice.
You can add one tablespoon of white vinegar to regular milk and let it sit ten min to make your own buttermilk.
Could I substitute the lemon juice for lemoncello (lemon liquor)?
I wouldn’t. But I’m subbing the lemon peel with lemon extract. Fingers crossed
I made this cake. It was a huge disaster. I should have listened to the little voice that said 2 cups of sugar seems a bit much. From now on, I will compare ingredients in baked recipes. Inedible. Waste of
time and ingredients.
Hi there, The glaze was really thick and the cream cheese icing was runny. did we make a mistake?
