Italy Reports Lowest Cases and Deaths Since Early March

The Italian Ministry of Health has reported its lowest one day COVID-19 deaths and cases in well over 2 months.

As of yesterday (May 10), only 165 new deaths were reported which is the lowest amount of deaths since March 9. As for new cases of the virus, the Italian Ministry of Health reported 802 new infections which is the lowest reported number since March 6.

Yesterday was also the first time since early March that the new daily cases reported have been below 1000.

Once overcrowded hospitals are now clearing up day by day which is giving Italian residents hope of life returning back to normal, but even with the lifted restrictions that began last week, many people are still worried about leaving their homes if they don’t have to.
