10. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is the oldest shopping mall in Milan and one of the best places to get a selfie. The opulent nineteenth-century design and glass ceiling makes the shopping center seem like a city within a city. Plus, once your photo session is complete you can reward yourself with something from the many high-end boutiques inside. 

9. Piazza del Duomo

Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Piazza del Duomo in Florence is architecturally stunning. The colored marble on the exterior provides a perfect backdrop for your picture without overwhelming the subject with vibrancy. Keep in mind, if you want a photo at the Piazza, it’s best to arrive early so you don’t have to battle the crowds while you find your best angle. 

8. Il San Pietro

This luxury hotel in Positano has one of the best spots to capture a selfie with the sea and the cityscape as your backdrop. The outdoor dining area has stone benches along the edge with beautifully painted tiles on the back. On a bright sunny day, this is the spot to take a picture that will amaze your family, friends, and followers. 

7. Tre Cime di Lavaredo

Found in the Dolomites Mountain range in southeastern Italy, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo selfie is one that will highlight your grit and adventurous spirit. The best way to get this shot is to take the 6.4 miles, or 10.3 km, trail loop around the three peaks. If you’re going for a glamour shot it might be best to bring a change of clothes as there will be hills to climb to reach the spot. 

6. Peschiera del Garda

Located outside of Verona, the best spot for a selfie in this city would be on one of the bridges over the Fiume Mincio canals. These city fortification walls were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. The best time to visit is in the springtime when the flowers are in bloom and the foliage along the walls have come to life.

This small fishing village in the Italian Rivieria is a hidden gem. Often overlooked for its more popular neighbor, Portofino, Camogli offers stunning views with half the crowds. With colorful structures climbing up the hillsides overlooking the sea, you will have almost too many picturesque spots to choose from. 

4. Sassi di Matera

In Matera, the Sassi has become a popular tourist destination for those who are willing to stay the night in one of the village’s cave houses. The best time for a selfie is at dusk when the sun is sinking low in the sky and casting a stunning pink hue across the city of stone.

3. Podere Argo

This Sorano lavender farm in Tuscany provides selfie seekers with miles of lavender fields ripe for a photo session. June and July are the best times to visit, but you can only visit during public events, by appointment, or when you reserve the vacation home on the property. Ironically, the farm advertising itself as a place to disconnect from technology, but no one says you have to share your selfie right away.

2. Lago dei Cavalli

Lago dei Cavalli sits in the basin of mountain lake found in the Alta Valle Antrona Natural Park in Piedmont. This lake, formed during the 1920s when the Alpe Cavalli dam was built, is such a vibrant blue you wouldn’t even need to put a filter on your pictures. It is easily accessible to the public; you can drive right up to the dam and park for the best selfie angle. 

1. Castelluccio

The village of Castelluccio in Umbria is the best spot for self fanatics to get a shot that will stun everyone who sees it. If you want to catch the colorful parade of flowers, make sure you book your trip anytime from the end of May to the beginning of July. You will never find a more natural spot than these miles of fields for your most brilliant selfie yet.
