Europe’s Most Active Volcano Erupted Numerous Times Spewing Lava

Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano, has erupted. It spewed ashes into surrounding villages. The explosion was so intense that an airport had to close down.

The gigantic mountain is located in Sicily, where it soars 11,000 feet above sea level. According to Express, “Local authorities issued an ash warning after the pieces of the black stuff were found as far away as Fleri, 18 miles from Etna.”
