Amanda Recupido and Matt Lynch are a couple from Downers Grove, Illinois who both have experience writing. Anthony Rizzo is a Good Italian Boy is their first published book. Since its publication in 2018, it has grown in popularity.
There is now even a Facebook page filled with customer images of their children reading the book.

The Wrigley Rapport states that it is, “The perfect book for young cubs fans.”
The book is about Chicago Cubs’ Anthony Rizzo, who enjoys big dinners with his family! According to their interview with Wrigley Rapport, the couple had an inside joke about how Anthony Rizzo was “a good Italian boy”. However, the couple truly realized how good of a person Anthony Rizzo was when finding out more about his donations to Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Although they did not contact Anthony Rizzo when writing the book, they used public information and memories from their own upbringing. The book is priced at $14.95 and can be purchased on MascotBooks.com, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-a-Million.
