Giada’s Loaded Chocolate Chip Hazelnut Cookies Recipe

Most Italians love hazelnuts, and for good reason! They have a sweet, vibrant flavor thats adds the perfect crunchy texture to baked goods.

These Loaded Chocolate Chip Hazelnut Cookies will be the best you’ve ever tasted! Giada created and perfected this recipe and made 500 of these cookies for her wedding! If that doesn’t tell you they’re fantastic, I’m not sure what will!


  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, such as Petra
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, (2 sticks, at room temperature)
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of hazelnuts (toasted, skinned, and chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces English toffee candy, (finely chopped, recommended: Heath or Skor)
