Did you know that the world’s largest Christmas tree is actually located in Italy!? The Christmas tree is lit up every year and displays a stunning array of colors. It overlooks the medieval town of Gubbio in Umbria region in central Italy. The tree consists of over 700 lights and stretches to 750m (2,460 feet) in height which makes it visible from great distances.
The tree’s purpose is actually very meaningful. Each year the town’s residents and visitors of the tree raise money for charity. Individuals pay to adopt a light and the proceeds go to charities.
