Italian Grandmother’s First Trip Out After Lockdown

77-year-old Italian grandmother Carla Tadini recently took her first steps outside in over two months.

BBC News explained that Carla has only been outside once since February 20th. Carla tried her best to stay busy and get into a routine during the lockdown. She did speed-walking in her apartment every day for 20 minutes.

In her post-isolation interview recorded by her son Jacopo, Carla expresses how nature kept her from feeling depressed. She felt as if things maybe wouldn’t get better until she saw a flower blossom which reminded her that is Spring and things can change.
