BEST Chocolate Zucchini Swirl Bread 🍫

This decadent zucchini swirl bread uses banana for natural sweetness and Nutella for a fudgy chocoate swirl!


  • 2 zucchini shredded
  • 2 smashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups ap flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Nutella


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Shred zucchini and drain, blot with a paper towl to remove excess moisture. 
  3. Add zucchini, banana, egg, sugar, salt and vanilla into a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to combine. 
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix to combine. 
  5. Fold in chocolate chips. 
  6. Pour a little batter into a greased bread pan or 9×5 baking dish. Pour in swirl of Nutella and alternate between batter and Nutella. 
  7. Top with chocolate chips or more Nutella and bake for 45-55 minutes (the air will be very fragrant with chocolatey goodness). Check center of bread with toothpick to make sure it’s fully cooked. I’ve found the time varies depending on the oven I’m using. 
  8. Let cool and enjoy!
