Digital fashion week debuted in Milan today and it is the first time in the history of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion that they are presenting men and women’s fashion in this manner.
Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion explains, “The development of a digital fashion week is a practical response to the moment we’re living, giving us the possibility to continue the journey that began in February with the ‘China We Are With You’ initiative.”
Capasa has been following the footsteps of Shanghai Fashion Week which took place virtually in March.
“Our goal is both to support the recovery of the entire fashion system , and reach out to the media, buyers and the whole fashion community through a variety of content developed for all agents within the system.”
The show is set to showcase pre-collections for spring and summer 2021 from 42 brands including Prada, Gucci, Ferragamo and more. Milan digital fashion week will end on July 17.
