This decadent hazelnut sponge cake is topped with rich chocolate spread and Ferrero Rocher candies!
My Nonno always had Ferrero Rocher candies so they are a super nostalgic treat for me and have a special place in my heart. This cake brings me back! It’s layered with hazelnut sponge cake and covered in Nutella buttercream, a chocolate hazelnut lovers dream! Serves 12.Β
Ingredients:
Ferrero Rocher Cake:
7 large eggs room temperature
Β½ cups sugar
2 cups finely ground hazelnuts or hazelnut flour
3 Tbsp AP flour
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
3 tsp baking powder
Ferrero Rocher Frosting:Β
300 grams butter, unsalted room temperature
2ΒΌ cups chopped chocolate or chocolate chips , semi-sweet
Β½ cup Nutella spread
1.5 cup wafers crushed
Decorations:
10 Ferrero Rocher Candies
