This delicious Thanksgiving cranberry sauce is made with Aperol!
This cranberry sauce is made with Aperol and is something I make for Thanksgiving every year. I used to make it with Cointreau or Triple Sec but I love the flavor of Aperol even more. Fresh, frozen, or canned cranberries work the same so you can use any of them. This makes the best sauce for a post-Thanksgiving sandwich too!
Ingredients:
12 oz fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Aperol
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground clove
Zest of 1 lemon
Zest of 1 orange
Process:
In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, Aperol, water, cinnamon and cloves.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer until the cranberries start to burst (about 10-15 minutes).
