Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce With Aperol – Recipe

This delicious Thanksgiving cranberry sauce is made with Aperol!

This cranberry sauce is made with Aperol and is something I make for Thanksgiving every year. I used to make it with Cointreau or Triple Sec but I love the flavor of Aperol even more. Fresh, frozen, or canned cranberries work the same so you can use any of them. This makes the best sauce for a post-Thanksgiving sandwich too!

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Aperol
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground clove
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 orange

Process:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, Aperol, water, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer until the cranberries start to burst (about 10-15 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in zests.
  4. Let cool and serve.
