Easter Brioche Bread Bunnies Recipe

If you're looking for an Italian Easter dessert that the kids will absolutely adore, you've found one!

The dough for this bread is simple to make and work with. It becomes crispy with a golden-brown crust and a soft inside when baked. Get the recipe from An Italian in My Kitchen!


  •  cups flour (all-purpose
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  •  tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 zest lemon
  •  teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened/salted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup + ½ tablespoon milk (room temperature) I used whole milk

For room temperature, remove from the fridge 30-45 minutes before using.


  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons nonpareils (if desired)
